Mike Johnson

 

I am a seasoned public safety professional with over four decades of distinguished experience in law enforcement, fire investigation, emergency medical services, and leadership positions. I dedicated twenty-seven years to the Marple Township Police Department, retiring as a Patrol Sergeant, where I oversaw officers, orchestrated special operations, and significantly contributed to training and community safety initiatives. Presently, I hold the roles of Assistant Fire Chief and EMS Manager at Rocky Run Fire Company, as well as Deputy Fire Marshal and Public Safety Officer for Middletown Township, where I focus on fire investigations, life safety assessments, and the coordination of emergency responses. My previous appointments include Fire Chief of Glenolden Fire Company and Public Safety Manager at Lankenau Medical Center, where I managed operations and navigated crisis situations.

 

Possessing a robust academic foundation with degrees in Fire Science Technology and Administration of Justice, complemented by advanced training such as the FBI’s Law Enforcement Executive Development Association courses, I have garnered numerous accolades, including Life-Saving Awards and commendations for meritorious service. As a former President of the Pennsylvania Association of Arson Investigators, I played a pivotal role in elevating fire investigation standards across the state. On a personal note, I have been happily married for 31 years and am the proud father of nine children—three of whom are adopted and two with special needs—while also having served as a coach and director for the Rose Tree Soccer Club. These experiences have fortified my values of service, advocacy, and resilience, which I bring to bear in my professional endeavors and community engagement. I now aspire to channel my unwavering commitment to justice and integrity into a judicial role.
